Kit Harington has discussed the possibility of a Game of Thrones spin-off series about his iconic character Jon Snow.
TV host Jimmy Fallon asked the actor about the validity of rumours surrounding an upcoming spin-off series about Snow during his late-night chat show.
Smiling and scratching his ear, Harington kept his response simple, telling Fallon: “I don’t know. Do you want to have it?”
The 36-year-old actor also revealed he and wife Rose Leslie, who starred with him in the Foxtel series, are expecting their second child together, two years after the birth of their son.
The Hollywood Reporter revealed last June that a sequel series about Harington’s character was in early development.
After the Game of Thrones finale, the character was banished to the Wall in the North after killing Daenerys, played by Emilia Clarke.
Fallon asked the actor about attending the official Game of Thrones convention in Los Angeles last December.
At the event, Harington opened up about how he felt his character of Snow, who he portrayed during all eight seasons of the show, was doing after the 2019 finale.
“It was a bit like going back in time,” Harington said of attending the event. “I know it’s only been four years or something, but it feels longer.
“And I went to it, and it’s nice seeing the fans. It’s kind of amazing that the show’s still got such a fanbase and it’s continuing on in its own way.”
Harington told Fallon, “I can’t say anything” about the planned series, but joked with the TV host that he would do a spin-off to get more attention in public.
“I don’t know, man ... I walk down the street and I get recognised a little less nowadays, and it kind of hurts my ego, you know?” he joked.
“I’m pretty close to like putting on some furs.”
“I got a tally in my head of how few photos I get asked for in a day,” Harington said.
“And when it gets below a certain number, I think I’ll do a spin-off.”
Speaking about his baby news, Harington joked to Fallon that his toddler son was “about to get the shock of his life.”
“Which is that he’s about to get a brother or sister,” Harington said.
“I’m terrified,” the actor added. “You know, with the first baby you’re like walking on clouds and dancing through fields of daisies for nine months — well, the man is anyway.
“But this time, the reality check comes much shorter. You get practical real quick.”

Maisie Williams, Harington’s Game of Thrones co-star, spoke about the possibility of a Jon Snow spin-off last year while attending the Cannes Lions Festival with Spotify.
She told PEOPLE magazine at the time that they had a “rich show, and there’s still so much story to tell.”
“I think it’s really exciting, and I think that Kit is such a phenomenal actor. Him playing Jon Snow was just like a cultural reset,” Williams said.
“I think everything that he touches is magic, and I’m excited to see what it’s going to be.”
