HE’S the curly-haired chef who had contestants hot and bothered in the MasterChef kitchen. But is that the last we’ve seen of Jock Zonfrillo?

Masterchef: Renae Is Starstruck

HE’S the curly-haired Scotsman who had plenty of contestants hot and bothered when he entered the MasterChef kitchen last night.

Renae Smith could barely contain herself, turning a particular shade of scarlet at the sight of Jock Zonfrillo, the hunky guest chef from Adelaide.

And her fan girl moment didn’t go unnoticed by the judges, with Matt Preston drawing attention to her flushed state while watching from up on the balcony.

“The funny thing is, Jock is someone who I admire, but it’s also incredibly obvious that he’s incredibly good looking,” the single Sydney-based contestant told news.com.au.

“I completely lost it and unfortunately Matt Preston pointed it out to everybody. I went so red and could feel my ears throbbing, ‏it was really hard to cool down.”

The 30-year-old mother admitted that she’s never been redder in her life and said that after they finished filming the episode she was treated to a hug from the heavily tattooed restaurant owner.

Luckily, Renae didn’t have to face Zonfrillo, watching from the wings as Colin, Georgia and Amy battled it out in the food challenge.

Amy landed the opportunity to cook for an immunity pin but was unable to beat the pro, with Zonfrillo’s beef and pumpkin salad proving a winner.

Renae, who has two daughters, said her fellow contestant managed to do a bit of digging on her behalf during the challenge and discovered the 37-year-old is also a single dad.

Zonfrillo is the owner of Orana restaurant in bustling Rundle St and the expat has been credited with putting Adelaide back on the map for destination diners using native Australian ingredients.

He was the star of last night’s episode and a natural in front of the camera, daring to leave a large portion of his dish to the dying minutes.

And it seems viewers were just as rapt with the cooking show’s latest eye candy. Now the only question is — when will Zonfrillo be returning to the MasterChef kitchen?
