As auction day has drawn closer, viewers have swamped social media with their winner predictions.

Up close with The Block’s Super K’s
Our friends at Twitter have managed to capture the general sentiment regarding this year’s expected champs over the past seven days.
A few surprises here, particularly with just 15.2 per cent of users backing super duo Kyal and Kara for the win. Interestingly, twins Alisa and Lysandra are the hot favourites, with 27.6 per cent of Twitter users putting their money on last year’s winners.
“This season of The Block has seen some truly controversial moments and by encouraging judges and contestants to tweet along to each episode Channel Nine has made this series of The Block one of the most engaging yet,” Danny Keens, Director of Media Partnerships, Twitter Australia, told news.com.au.
“The public really began to tweet their support for Alisa and Lysandra after their controversial low score during the Bathroom Reveals. Despite a very heated meltdown onscreen, Alisa and Lysandra took to Twitter that night to pledge to work harder the following week and regain their title as “The Bathroom Queens.”
“Following their win in the Kitchen reveals the following week we’ve seen them edge ahead of their closest competition — Brad and Dale — and stay there as we go into the Grand Final Auctions.”
Twitter also ranked the most talked about episodes of this season.
Here are the top five:
1. Season Premiere
2. Master suite reveals — Shaynna Blaze is brought to tears (Fitzy’s joke in reaction)
3. Bathroom Reveals — low score for Alisa and Lysandra (they respond on Twitter)
4. Brad and Dale, Alisa and Lysandra return to the Block
5. Final Room Reveal of the series
Celebrities have gotten behind the teams this year in a big way and have shared their thoughts on Twitter.
