Donald Trump Jr.’s girlfriend Kimberly Guilfoyle has caught Whoopi Goldberg in a brazen lie during a fiery appearance on The View.
The US President’s son and his partner entered enemy territory on Thursday with an appearance on the morning show to promote his new book Triggered.
With Don Jr. coming under fire for tweeting out the name of the alleged CIA whistleblower who kicked off the impeachment push against his father, the former Fox News personality stepped in to defend the family.
“When you look at the facts, when you look at the circumstances, you look at, in fact, even on this show the first day after the election you said, ‘Now let’s start with impeachment,’” Ms Guilfoyle said.
“This has been a concerted effort by a lot of people who are disappointed with the results of the election to undo it and remove a duly elected President of the United States.”
Goldberg replied, “That isn’t true.”
Ms Guilfoyle said, “Well, it was on this show on November 9.”
Goldberg insisted, “No, actually it wasn’t.”
Let's go to the tape!

After the show, GOP rapid response director Steve Guest posted a video on Twitter proving Ms Guilfoyle’s claim.
“Kimberly Guilfoyle calls out The View for pushing impeachment since the day after the 2016 election,” he wrote. “Let’s go to the tape!”
In the clip from November 9, 2016, host Joy Behar said, “He’s not going to do anything he says.”
Goldberg replied, “Well if he doesn’t, we can kick his ass out. You know, there is such a thing called impeachment.”
Mr Guest also slammed as “pathetic” Goldberg refusing to say Don Jr.’s name during her introduction, calling him “the son of the gentleman in the White House … DJT”.
He noted Behar could even be heard saying “don’t say his name”.
Many times during the interview the panel descended into chaos as the hosts and guests shouted over one another.
Saying “we’ve all done things that we regret”, Don Jr. ripped into Behar for wearing “blackface” in the past — which she also falsely denied — and brought up Goldberg’s infamous comments diminishing the seriousness of director Roman Polanski’s sexual assault of a minor.
“Whoopi, you said of Roman Polanski, ‘it wasn’t rape rape,’ when he raped a child,” he said.
Goldberg snapped back, “Now that you’ve broken this piece of ice, because I guess it is the fight you wanted … are you questioning my character?”
Don Jr. said, “I’m not questioning your character. I’m talking about, you’re questioning my father’s character and I say we all have done and said things.”
At one point Behar admonished the audience for applauding and cheering. “Listen, this is not a MAGA rally, OK?” she snapped.
Don Jr. also slammed the network for hypocrisy, saying news organisations were pursuing a whistleblower who leaked footage of an ABC anchor complaining about her expose paedophile Jeffrey Epstein being spiked.
“ABC is right now chasing down a whistleblower about all of the Epstein stuff because those stories were killed,” he said.
“So if we’re going to have the conversation about the outrage about whistleblowers, you work with CBS.”
His comments came as it emerged CBS had sacked a female staffer believed to have had access to the tape of ABC anchor Amy Robach that was leaked to conservative organisation Project Veritas this week.
According to the New York Post, the woman was sacked from CBS after ABC execs alerted the rival network “as a courtesy”.
