Big Brother housemates already suspect Drew and Jade aren't newlyweds

THE cracks are already showing as Big Brother's "fake marriage" twist looks set to be exposed.

How long can Drew and Jade get away with their sham marriage on Big Brother?

That is the question TV viewers are asking after the pair entered the house last night on Channel 9's reality show.

The makers of Big Brother have pulled a twist with engineering student Drew and model Jade having to fool the other 12 housemates into believing they are husband and wife.

Trouble is - the cracks are already showing. This is one twist that could be a fizzer.

Tully, Tahan and Heidi all appear to suspect that Drew and Jade's marriage is a fake.

Tully was the first to twig. She asked Jade how Drew proposed and when Jade replied "on the beach in Byron", Tully walked straight over to Drew to confirm the story with him.

That could spell disaster for Drew and Jade who have to convince the rest of the housemates that they are a married couple for one week. If they do, they will be immune from nomination.

If any housemate comes into the diary room and tells Big Brother they don't believe they are married, Drew and Jade will automatically be up for nomination.

When Drew and Jade entered the house they announced that they had been married for two months and have been together for a year.

Drew and Jade met for the first time in the diary room with Big Brother telling them they would be the first married couple in the house.

Channel Nine says that Drew and Jade complete the list of 14 housemates on this year's show.

Jade: 22. Model. Ballina

Born in France, raised on the beaches of far northern NSW and trained as a model in Italy, Jade is a country girl whose natural good looks have opened doors around the globe.

"As a model I have done shoots in Spain, Africa, New York and Milan. After a break up with my long term partner in Italy, I am now living with my grandmother back in Ballina."

Jade has dabbled in acting but for the time being she's happy being back in Australia pulling beers at her local hotel.

Drew: 25. Engineering Student. Melbourne

Drew grew up on a farm in country Victoria and was school captain, rowing captain and house drama captain.

He has a couple of subjects to go before graduating from university with a degree in chemical engineering.

"I'm hoping to get a job in the oil and gas industry and one day run a company." Drew describes himself as laid back: "I've been told that people feel like I care when I'm having a conversation with them. I'm happy to put other people before myself."
