QUEENSLAND Bachelorette favourite Apollo Jackson has been keeping a hulk-sized secret.
The Courier-Mail can reveal the 24-year-old, who is a clear frontrunner for Sophie Monk’s heart on the reality dating series, appears alongside Chris Hemsworth in Marvel blockbuster Thor: Ragnarok.
The magician, whose real name is Jake Spence, was the body double for The Hulk and was used to create the computer-generated superhero. He also played a gladiator extra in several scenes.
Jackson said he was approached for the dream job as the “big, green guy” Bruce Banner (played by Mark Ruffalo) morphs into after appearing in some independent and student films.
“I am a massive nerd so I was super excited and so stoked to do a Marvel movie,” he said.
“I got the opportunity to do a scene with Chris Hemsworth and he was just a fun, down-to-earth guy, who is so normal and humble.
“He’s definitely a role model I look up to in the industry.”
Jackson, who will walk the red carpet with the stars at the Gold Coast premiere of Thor: Ragnarok tonight, said he had landed a main role in futuristic action flick Garrison 7: The Fallen, which co-stars Charmed actor Brian Krause, off the back of the opportunity.
“I have loved acting since I was a little kid,” he said.
Jackson received the first of the second single dates on last night’s episode of The Bachelorette and said his feelings for Monk had started to grow as a result.
“I could definitely see myself falling in love with her,” he said.
