Taylor Swift’s backup singer posted a rare behind-the-scenes photo of the pop star relaxing on a boat during a break in her Eras Tour.
The picture shared on Jeslyn Gorman’s Instagram showed Swift, 35, wearing a multi-coloured bikini, sunglasses and a white baseball cap while relaxing on a couch aboard a yacht and leaning against one of her other backup singers, Melanie Nyema.
The “Cruel Summer” singer held the brim of her hat in one hand, pursed her lips and looked up to the sky while the rest of her crew smiled for the photo in a tropical destination.
The women sipped on pink drinks in cocktail glasses with bottles of sparkling water placed in ice buckets on the table in front of them.
“Joy is medicine,” Gorman wrote in the caption, in part.
“Grace is a beautiful gift that we don’t give ourselves enough of.
Don’t sweat the small stuff, you have a life to enjoy.
Generosity not only lifts someone else up, but it magically also lifts you up.
We are capable of way more than we can imagine.
Strength and resilience is the result of discomfort and hard work.
My chosen family is pretty freaking awesome.”
Gorman also included a second photo of Swift posing with her, Nyema, two of the Grammy winner’s other backup singers, Eliotte Nicole and Kamilah Marshall, and pianist Karina DePiano.
Gorman, who has been working with Swift for more than a decade, shared the pictures in a post recapping the year and shared “some things” she “learned in 2024” in the caption.
“My chosen family is pretty freaking awesome,” she wrote in part.
Swift has a close relationship with her backup singers and dancers and frequently posted pictures with them during her nearly two-year Eras Tour.
The songwriter performed 149 record-breaking shows across five continents and sold more than US$2 billion in tickets with 10.1 million fans in attendance.
Swift wrapped up her tour — which began on March 17, 2023 — on Dec. 8, 2024, in Vancouver, Canada.
“This is the most fun, joyful, exciting, intense, powerful and wonderful tour I have ever done, and that’s all because of the way that you have treated it,” she said during the final show.
The billionaire superstar has since been enjoying her time off, with a source recently telling Page Six that she was “definitely looking forward to some downtime” –– especially with her boyfriend, Travis Kelce.
“Taylor was ready for this tour to wrap because she’s burnt out and is looking forward to some rest and relaxation,” the insider told us last month.
Swift and Kelce, also 35, were subsequently seen stepping out together at various hotspots in New York City –– including the exclusive social club Chez Margaux.
Sources later told Page Six that the high-profile couple decided to keep it low-key for New Year’s Eve and spent a “romantic” night together in Kansas City, Mo., where they “shared a kiss as soon as it hit midnight.”
