Is this the sexiest man in motorsport?

Some might think so after 21-year-old Zane Goddard shared a shirtless beach shot on social media.

Showing off his ripped eight pack and bulging biceps, Goddard wore just a towel as he stood on Mermaid Beach on the Gold Coast.

Goddard received a bit of healthy ribbing from his followers, one who labelled him a “poser”.

“Sexiest man in supercars,” one commented, another adding: “any excuse to get the rig out”.

Goddard laughed off the attention.

“The comments are funny to read,” he told Confidential. “Usually it is the other drivers hanging shit on everyone. It is all fun.”

Goddard understandably keeps fit for his job under the guidance of personal trainer Karen Plum. He is a Supercar driver for Matt Stone Racing (MCR) and is pegged as one of the rising stars of the sport.

“It is one of those weird things where everyone thinks we just drive a car around and the car does most of the work but it gets pretty hot in there and it is very physical,” he said.

Zane Goddard has laughed off the attention surrounding his looks.

Goddard is open to finding love.

“When you are going around smashing off curbs and going around corners at plus 200 km an hour, there are a lot of forces on the body so you have got to be fit. The more prepared you can be physically, the easier it makes it.”

Goddard is single, having previously been in a two year relationship. He is open to finding love, although “is pretty cruisy with it all”.

“I am enjoying my racing at the moment,” Goddard, who will join the Supercars field at The Bend racetrack in South Australia this weekend, said. “I am pretty focused on that.”
