What was not to love about Soho Supper Club – home to Adelaide’s rich and famous, and those of us who just wanted a fancy night out.
Adelaide’s first pop-up supper club, which made its debut a year ago, is coming back.
With twinkling chandeliers and plush lounges – all housed in a glass-walled marquee within Festival Plaza – it was, and will be, the place to be.
The collaboration between event management company Out in the Paddock and the plaza will be back from August 1 to 24.
Ray Dahdah, from Out in the Paddock, has taken to social media to announce Soho’s return.
“Last year’s Season was an incredible success and sold out in the first few days,” he wrote, adding: “We can’t wait to share it with you all again this year. This year we’ve extended the season by 2 weeks. It’s going to be packed with delicious food, stunning wines, beautiful styling and the most incredible entertainment. For those that didn’t attend last year, this was the hottest place to be last winter.”
Mr Dahdah said bookings would be open from mid next month and also put a call out:
“We are looking for corporate, champagne, car, gin and wine major sponsors, we are also looking for entertainers who’d like to get involved,” he said, adding: “We cannot wait to share this incredible project with you all.”
Oozing the “relaxed, but stylish” dining experience of 1920s supper clubs, Soho hosted the Pure Black Winter Ball last year. It also had a grand opening attended by the who’s who of Adelaide including Andrew “Cosi” Costello and his wife Sam.
There’s a rumour that Soho will play host to a high society invite-only occasion in August.
