Amid reality TV pregnancy shock, SA star describes dad-to-be Will Dwyer as a ‘beautiful human’

Days before Farmer Wants A Wife star Hayley Love announced her shock pregnancy, an SA contestant was talking up Farmer Will.

It sounds like SA’s single lady on Farmer Wants A Wife, Kristina, is going to stay mum on this one.

For those who haven’t heard, Victorian farmer Will Dwyer is the father of fellow contestant Hayley Love’s unborn child.

This is despite Will choosing Sydney-based nurse Jaimee on the show’s finale which aired last week.

Kristina, whose family still lives in Mount Gambier, was the runner-up for his affections, telling Confidential that she and Will were still “great friends” and that he was a “beautiful human”.

On Thursday, Confidential attempted to contact Kristina through the Seven Network to ask her thoughts on the pregnancy news.

A publicist replied saying Seven would not be making any further comment after issuing this statement: “The producers of Farmer Wants A Wife have extensive policies and procedures in place to create a safe environment for all parties involved in production and we continue to offer support to all our contestants. We wish Hayley all the very, very best for her pregnancy and life ahead. She will always have our best wishes.”

Will, who struck up a secret relationship with Hayley after filming, declined to comment on her public announcement she was expecting his baby when contacted on Tuesday.

However, he later took to Instagram to post: “A WOLF DOES NOT CONCERN HIMSELF WITH THE OPINIONS OF SHEEP”.

It comes after Hayley, who was paired with Farmer Matt Trewin on the show, came forward to talk about connecting with Will shortly after the finale was filmed in December, but before the reunion episode taped in January.

It is understood they split in April after Hayley told Will she was pregnant, but as Hayley revealed in a public statement to news.com.au yesterday, she has “decided to keep the baby, because I have enough love for this child with or without a biological father. I will be enough for him or her.”

In a follow-up statement posted to social media overnight, Hayley, 25, explained she had been “absolutely terrified” to come forward and share her story, sharing a sweet image of an ultrasound with her followers.

After weeks of blind items about a “Farmer Wants A Wife pregnancy scandal”, the story hit FWAW fans like a bomb.

Revealing the rumours surrounding her pregnancy in the lead-up to yesterday’s story had made her feel like an “absolute wreck”, Hayley – who had earlier deactivated her social media accounts – thanked fans for their support.

“I am going to let the dust settle over the next few days but just wanted to jump on quickly to say a massive thank you. My heart is so full and I know bubs is going to have so much love,” she wrote.

In the meantime, Channel 7 has released the trailer for the show’s upcoming reunion special, featuring loved-up snippets of Will seemingly still pursuing his original “pick”, Jaimee.

“I’d be the luckiest man alive,” Will is shown saying, as clips from a past episode show him kissing Jaimee.

Elsewhere, he’s seen sitting on the couch talking to host Natalie Gruzlewski, looking up when an unknown woman descends the stairs.

According to Hayley, Will told her he was not in contact with Jaimee before the reunion was filmed.

“I started my relationship with Farmer Will in December, before the reunion episode was filmed a few weeks later in January,” Hayley wrote in her statement yesterday.

“He told me he wasn’t with Jaimee, and Jaimee was in contact with me before the reunion,” she added.

“We’d started chatting online. (Then) I visited him at his house in Longwood and when our sexual relationship started, he told me he had feelings for me and I had feelings for him.

“From there, I saw him as often as I could, staying at his house for a few days at a time.”

It is understood Farmer Will and Jaimee will still appear together in the reunion episode.

The reunion will air on Seven on August 11.
