Radio ratings: FIVEaa steals breakfast radio crown from ABC Adelaide

Veteran radio star sacked over vile remarks

FIVEaa’s duo David Penberthy and Will Goodings have stolen the breakfast radio crown from ABC Adelaide’s Ali Clarke.

It’s quite the victory too because Aunty’s presenter has had a firm hold on the No. 1 spot since the start of the year.

In the fourth survey for 2021, the AM talkback station’s David & Will show gained an impressive 1.7 share points to take the lead with 15.5, while the ABC took a hit of 2.0 to fall to second spot with 12.4.

In third place, Mix 102.3’s Mark “Soda” Soderstrom and Erin Phillips still have the highest-rating FM brekky show with 11.8 after a dip of 0.5.

Fourth spot belongs to Triple M’s Mark Ricciuto and Chris Dittmar with 10.5 (down 0.7), followed closely by Nova 919’s Ben Harvey and Liam Stapleton on 10.3 (up 0.1), and SAFM’s Rebecca Morse, Andrew “Cosi” Costello and Anthony “Lehmo” Lehmann with 8.6 (up 0.8).

Mix is still Adelaide’s No. 1 station with 13.2 (up 0.2), followed by FIVEaa on 12.3 (up 1.5), Cruise 1323 on 10.6 (down 0.5), Nova on 10.4 (down 1.1) and the ABC on 9.2 (down 0.2).
