‘Queen of Shade’ Mariah Carey has poked fun at Shawn Mendes in a hilarious Twitter post

Mariah Carey has not let the young singer get away with mentioning her in his newest Instagram post, uploading a hilarious comeback that has fans in stitches.

Mariah Carey is living up to her title of ‘Queen of Shade’ with her sights pointed at pop sensation Shawn Mendes.

Carey, 50, posted a selfie on Twitter this week with her arms open wide and a huge smile on her face, looking up at the sky.

The photo was a direct copy of Shawn Mendes’ selfie posted a day earlier, which mentioned Mariah’s ‘old songs’ in the caption.

“Grateful The sun, coffee, my health, my family, old Mariah Carey songs, music, humans!!!” wrote the 22-year-old heart-throb.

Carey’s caption mimicked the post, “Grateful. The sun, tea, my health, my family, old Shawn Mendes songs, music, humans!!!”

Mendes was quick to respond to Carey, re-tweeting her post and adding a laugh emoji and two hearts.

Carey replied with two kissing-face emojis.

Shawn Mendes’ girlfriend Camila Cabello posted a similar sentiment to her social media at the start of 2021, writing a bunch of positive affirmations.

“May we all be happy and peaceful. May we all be healthy and safe,” the 23-year-old wrote. “May we all be free from suffering and fear. May we all be strong and feel like we belong.”

“Happy New Year,” she ended her note.

Meanwhile, Miley Cyrus has made it clear that she wants in on their loved-up relationship.

The Prisoner singer commented on a video of Shawn and Camila singing on Instagram, writing, “Let’s have a three way.”

It is unclear whether or not the couple took Miley up on her offer.
