Power of love: Miles Bergman and Meecah Yates announce engagement

Port Adelaide young gun Miles Bergman has announced his engagement to long term partner Meecah Yates in an adorable Instagram post.
The couple shared a series of photographs of them rugged up against a backdrop of snow-capped mountains in Norway, including a shot of Yates flashing a large diamond ring on her left hand.
“Our next chapter together,” Yates captioned the happy snaps.
“I can’t wait to marry you.”
The couple have been enjoying time away in Scandinavia, with Bergman previously posting images of the pair exploring Finland.
While his team fell short in finals, the overseas getaway follows a successful personal season for Bergman who played 26 games for the Power during 2024.
The engagement news was met with a flood of comments with the couple’s friends, Bergman’s teammates and their partners sharing their excitement.
“This melts me. Love you both so much,” Kellie Finlayson, partner of Port star, Jeremy Finlayson wrote, accompanied by several crying face emojis.
“Woooooooooooo,” Port ruckman, Jordan Sweet added.
“Congrats,” Power defender, Brandon Zerk-Thatcher commented, alongside a red heart emoji.
The new fiances are not the only ones feeling the love this AFL off-season with Power captain Connor Rozee tying the knot with partner Maisie Packer on Saturday, with the newlyweds describing their nuptials as “the most magical day”.
