Nineties legends Jamiroquai and Beck will perform one-off Adelaide shows when they headline October’s Harvest Rock Festival.

The two-day festival – taking place over the weekend of October 28 and 29 in the East Parklands – will also feature Indigenous rapper Baker Boy, US indie outfit Bright Eyes, disco legends Nile Rogers and Chic and beloved Aussie singer-songwriter Paul Kelly.

Fronted by Jay Kay, Jamiroquai will hit the stage on Saturday, October 28 with a jam-packed set of your favourite hits in the band’s first Australian appearance in almost 12 years.

Sunday will belong to Beck. The enigmatic American who burst onto the scene in 1994 with Loser will bring a full band for a set that spans his acclaimed career.

It’s a triumphant return for the festival, which debuted last year – but not without controversy.

Organisers Secret Sounds found themselves in a battle of wills with the Adelaide City Council over road closures. Premier Peter Malinauskas swept in and declared the festival a major event, taking it out of the Council’s hands and paving the way for a popular two-day event which was headlined by Crowded House, Jack White, The Black Crowes and Groove Armada.

Secret Sounds Co-CEO Jessica Ducrou said she was “excited to present another weekend of incredible music, food, wine, and good times at Harvest Rock II”.

“We’ve lined up some of the world’s most iconic international artists, alongside stellar talent from our own shores, and paired it with the best food and wine offerings from South Australia,” Ms Ducrou said.

“At Harvest Rock there’s something for everyone. Enjoy our cellar door pop-up, or an exclusive lunch at the pop-up Wildwood restaurant by Jake Kellie. We have Little Harvest for the little ones and The Grape Escape wellness precinct for those wanting some well-deserved R&R. Join us in October and experience Harvest Rock II in all its glory.”

Harvest Rock will again offer a range of ticket options, with a dedicated VIP Village and Harvest Lounge for those who like a little more comfort and even a Platinum experience which comes complete with a concierge, front-of-stage viewing and personal cocktail bar on a private balcony. Tickets go on pre-sale on Monday, August 7. Visit the Harvest site for more information.
