Naomi Watts looked like a proud mother as she grinned while posing with her daughter, 16, at the NYC premiere of her new movie.

Naomi Watts couldn’t hold back her smile as she proudly posed for snaps on the red carpet with her 16-year-old daughter, Kai, on Monday.

Watts was joined by Kai at the premiere for her latest film, The Friend.

The pair posed together at the star-studded event, with Watts flashing a big grin at photographers.

Watts, 55, looked chic in a white dress with black detailing, while her daughter opted for a more 80s inspired fashion moment in a navy blazer with red polka dots and a ruffled black skirt.

Kai’s appearance with her mother comes just weeks after the teenage model made an appearance at Paris Fashion Week, walking in Valetino’s show.

Watts shares Kai and her son Sasha, 17, with American actor Liev Schreiber, who she was in a relationship with for 11 years before they decided to split in 2016.

Kai’s dad recently hit out at claims that his daughter was just another “nepo baby” following her appearance in the star-studded fashion show.

“I don’t have many thoughts for the haters,” the 57-year-old told TMZ earlier this month.

“I’m gonna put it to you like this: What if you were a professional actor and your child decided they wanted to do something in this world. Do they have the choice of what you did?”

He continued: “It doesn’t matter, like, that’s her life. She does what she wants with her life. And I’m super proud of her. I thought she did an amazing job on the show.”

Meanwhile, Watts found love again with actor Billy Crudup, and the pair eventually ended up walking down the aisle together in 2023.

In a sweet Instagram post, Watts announced that she and Crudup had gotten married. She shared a picture of the pair smiling in front a Manhattan courthouse, along with the caption, “Hitched!

The happy couple then exchanged vows for a second time a year later in a larger ceremony with their family and friends in Mexico.

Last year, the pair attended the 76th annual Primetime Emmy Awards together, walking the red carpet and posing for photos on their way in.

“This is an incredible honour. Thank you all,” said Crudup when accepting the Best Actor award. “I’m happy to be here with my piece of eye candy there, my wife, who also happens to be an immigrant and also gave a searing performance this year for which she’s nominated. And she starts businesses, too. So nice to be by her side.”
