Weather forecast revealed the Eras Tour in Melbourne this weekend

Almost 300,000 fans will be exposed to the elements this weekend as they pack into the MCG to see Taylor Swift’s three-hour long spectacular.

Taylor Swift's Era evolution from country star to global icon

The weather is forecast is in for the first three nights of Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour in Melbourne and fans will be overjoyed.

Pop superstar Taylor Swift’s private jet touched down at Melbourne airport just after midnight on Thursday ahead of her first Australian tour date for the highly-anticipated Eras Tour.

The countdown is on for the 13-time Grammy winner to rehearse her three-hour long setlist before she takes the stage at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Friday night.

The stadium is completely exposed to the elements and loyal Swifties will know next to nothing stops one of her concerts from going ahead, so all eyes are on the weather forecast to make sure no outfit adjustments need to be made.

The latest forecast from the bureau suggests the weather will be mostly sunny on Friday with a low of 13C and a maximum of 25C.

Light winds will push through the city in the afternoon but will ease off by the time Sabrina Carpenter opens the evening.

There is a zero chance of rain on the first night.

For those attending the second night on Saturday, the weather will be slightly warmer with a high of 16C though mostly cloudy skies.

There is just a five per cent chance of rain.

Finally, on Sunday fans can look forward to another cloudy evening with a high of 25C and again just five per cent chance of rain.

Swift will then take a few days off before her she jets over to Sydney for a four-night run of shows.

Meanwhile, Sydney fans can expect a similar forecast but are being warned to prepare for some wet weather, according to AccuWeather.

Night One in Sydney on February 25 will see warm and dry conditions, with a high of 29 degrees, light winds and clear skies.

Saturday will see a possibility of rain however, with light showers expected in spots for one hour on Night Two of the Sydney shows.

It’ll be a top of 26 degrees for both Saturday and Sunday night.

For Taylor’s final Aussie show, fans can hope for a balmy evening with a top of 27 degrees and some humidity around.

It’s too soon to say what next weekend’s weather will bring with certainty but fans can be comforted by the fact only very severe weather has ever postponed a Swift concert.

What happens if it rains before a Taylor Swift concert?

The Eras Tour has exclusively sold out stadiums across the globe, so it’s fair to say fans have had weather on their mind ahead of each tour date.

Over the course of the US tour dates, rain made a few appearances and ultimately created some spectacular visuals of Swift belting out emotional ballads through the downpour.

It’s fair to say rain will not deter the songstress unless dangerous conditions arise such as lightning strikes.
