It may have come Out of the Blue, but the moment Delta Goodrem fans have been waiting for is Almost Here.

As the unsubtle clues may suggest, the Aussie singer-songwriter has made a huge announcement in honour of the 20-year anniversary of her chart-topping album, Mistaken Identity.

In a statement released today, Goodrem, 40, revealed that she will be play an intimate show to revisit iconic songs from the highly successful album.

The one-off Australian performance will be held at the Sydney Opera House on Monday, April 14 next year. She’ll follow it with an intimate gig in London the following month.

Mistaken Identity was a challenge and a triumph … a mark left on me that I honour and treasure and am reminded of to this day,” Goodrem said.

“Happy Anniversary to all those who keep the album close to your hearts and resonate with those songs in ways that blow me away.”

General ticket sales will open at 9am on Thursday, November 28 through Ticketek, with various pre-sales at the same time on Tuesday, November 26.

The announcement follows the success of last year’s sold-out Innocent Eyes – 20th Anniversary Tour, which marked 20 years since the release of her record-breaking debut album, a 15 x platinum smash in Australia.

Mistaken Identity was released after a turbulent time for Goodrem, who was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma as her debut album was riding high in the charts. It was another huge commercial success for the singer, going 5 x platinum, and launched four hit singles: Number ones Out of the Blue and Almost Here with then-boyfriend Brian McFadden, plus the title track and A Little Too Late.

The one-off show news comes as Goodrem prepares to wed her longtime boyfriend, musician Matthew Copley, who proposed to her during a romantic trip to Malta last year.

“My best friend asked me to marry him,” she wrote on Instagram at the time.

While the Born To Try singer and Copley seemingly are yet to finalise plans for the big day, they’ve been working on details while juggling their hectic schedules.

Speaking to Who magazine in August, Goodrem joked that they should not “ask about the wedding” as things had “been very busy – but a great kind of busy”.

She added: “It’s about planning the day in a way that everyone can feel like they are invited, but we’ll keep on the path of discovering what makes the perfect day for us.”
