Tory Lanez was rushed to a hospital after getting stabbed multiple times in the face while in prison, sources tell the New York Post.
The rapper — who is serving a 10-year sentence for shooting rapper Megan Thee Stallion — was in the yard of the California Correctional Institution (CCI) in Tehachapi, California, Monday morning when another inmate stabbed him, TMZ was first to report.
The outlet did not cite a reason for the attack but noted that it was bad enough to require immediate medical attention.
Lanez, 32, was reportedly transported to a nearby civilian hospital in Bakersfield via ambulance.
His reps did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment. Reps for CCI were also not immediately available.
In December 2022, Lanez was found guilty of shooting Megan in the foot in July 2020 after a party at Kylie Jenner’s house.
He was charged with three felonies: assault with a semi-automatic firearm, carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle and discharging a firearm with gross negligence.
Despite Lanez’s conviction, his legal team maintained his innocence, previously telling Page Six they would explore an appeal.
The musician is eligible for parole in 2029.
As for Megan, she was granted a restraining order against Lanez in January after claiming he had been harassing her from behind bars.
“I feel like maybe he’ll shoot me again, and maybe this time I won’t make it,” the fellow rapper, 30, lamented at the time, describing her former romantic partner as a “violent and dangerous criminal.”
The restraining order will expire in 2030.
