Canadian pop superstar Michael Buble and Australia’s global chartslayers 5 Seconds of Summer have been added to the epic line-up for the Fire Fight Australia bushfire benefit.
And there’s more good news for kind-hearted fans who missed out on tickets to the February 16 concert with organisers managing to squeeze a limited number of extra seats into ANZ Stadium.
The final allocation of tickets will go on sale at 11am via ticketek.com.au and are expected to sell out in minutes.
Buble won’t be performing on the Sydney stage for the fundraiser, but will cross live via satellite to the gig from his own show at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena.
That video cross is likely to be made possible by the Seven network which is expected to broadcast the concert to further boost the bushfire relief effort to a television audience around the country.
Fire Fight may also be streamed globally to attract international dollars to the fundraising campaign.
The Los Angeles-based 5SOS are already in rehearsals for their homecoming performance.
“We are all incredibly saddened by what’s happened back home in Australia; sadly, it will be massive part of Australia’s history,” guitarist Michael Clifford said.
“When we heard about this show, we immediately felt it was important to us to be a part of. We’re beyond proud of all the artists coming together to play this show.”

Like many expatriate Australians, Clifford and his bandmates Luke Hemming, Calum Hood and Ashton Irwin felt frustrated watching the disaster unfold from so far away.
And like many of their Australian music and sporting peers, they are determined to keep supporting the relief effort beyond the February 16 concert in Sydney.
“We were all in contact with our parents and families every day. It was hard feeling so helpless being across the other side of the world while such a catastrophic event was happening in our home. It was tough being so helpless in this situation,” Clifford said.
“Our goal moving forward is just to do whatever we can to help make a difference.
“We’re also launching a range of merchandise through our not-for-profit brand Friends of Friends which you can find at wearefof.com.”
5SOS stage Friends of Friends charity sideshows whenever they are on tour and teamed up with Amy Shark in July for a gig to raise funds for the Blacktown Youth Service.
They will reunite with her at the Fire Fight concert which will also feature performances by Queen and Adam Lambert, k.d. lang, Alice Cooper, John Farnham, Conrad Sewell, Daryl Braithwaite, Olivia Newton-John, Tina Arena, Jessica Mauboy, Peking Duk and more.
The final Fire Fight Australia tickets are on sale from 10am via ticketek.com.au
