Dannii Minogue has wowed fans by dropping hints that she will take to the stage to represent Australia at the 2024 Eurovision Song Contest.
The Aussie pop icon sparked a frenzy when she responded to an official Eurovision post on X (formerly Twitter) about the 2024 contest in Malmo, Sweden, which kicks off on May 7.
Organisers of the event posted a dazzling video showing the elaborately lit stage where performers from Europe and beyond will strut their stuff.
The stage design is the work of Fredrik Stormby of Green Wall Designs, the mastermind behind Beyonce’s recent Renaissance global tour.
The post read: “Good folk of Europe and beyond … say ‘hej’ to the #Eurovision2024 stage!”
Minogue was quick to respond, resharing the Eurovision post and adding her own cryptic message: “The stage is set…and the countdown has begun!”

The 52-year-old’s comment prompted speculation that the pop princess will join the list of performers who have represented Australia at the event in recent years.
One excited fan wrote: “I’m going to take this as confirmation that you are representing.”
Another posted: “Omg … is Dannii representing Australia??”
One fan even came up with their own elaborate theory, saying that Minogue was either representing Australia or helping 2016 Eurovision hopeful Dami Im, who she coached on TV’s X Factor, choose a song.
It’s already been a big year for Minogue, who hosted the hit British TV show I Kissed A Boy and released a new single, We Could Be The One.
She also released an anniversary edition of her Neon Nights album.
