A MOVIE about the little characters that people use in text messages was always going to be a tough concept to pull off and clearly The Emoji Movie has missed the mark.

The cartoon managed to score a number of Hollywood heavyweights to voice the characters including the likes of Anna Faris, James Corden, Maya Rudolph, Sofia Vergara and Christina Aguilera but clearly that wasn’t enough to dissuade critics.
