NOT that you would, but if you’ve ever wondered what it’d be like to tell Oprah Winfrey to ‘shut the f**k up’ then Rose Byrne has the answer.

The actress stars alongside the beloved TV personality in HBO’s new movie The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks and Byrne hilariously revealed to EThow quickly they had to become friends off-screen.

Specifically, referring to a scene in the movie where Byrne yells at Winfrey’s character to “shut the f**k up”.

“It was intense! It was a long day, but we wanted to do a good job and we were g-ed up to do it,” the Aussie actress recalled.

“It was one of those strange surreal moments in your life but that’s acting you know? I think I said that to Glenn Close a few times as well so I’m clearly cornering a market, telling legendary woman to eff off.”

The Aussie actress has made quite a name for herself in Hollywood since starring in the FX show Damages but shot to stardom as a comedic actress for her role in the 2011 film Bridesmaids.

And, it was working with Hollywood heavyweights like Byrne that led to Winfrey admitting she felt “nervous” before acting in the movie.

“That’s very strange,” Byrne told ETat the movie’s premiere last night.

“She’s incredibly humble for someone of her, being a living legend really,” she added.

“She had a huge undertaking and she was nervous admittedly, as was I. It’s a very important story and a big story we tried to tell in a short amount of time too so it was ambitious.”
