The Academy Award winner has been spotted out and about in character for his new movie Inner City, a legal drama set in the ‘70s, in which he plays an undervalued lawyer who is suddenly put in charge of a firm.
And he’s undergone a total makeover for the part.
In the first pictures from the set, a heavier Washington is seen rocking a ‘70s ensemble complete with big glasses, bell-bottomed pants and an afro.
He accessorised the look with — what else? — a cassette player.
As soon as the photos surfaced, there was a strong (and hilarious) reaction on Twitter.
Inner City is directed by Dan Gilroy and also stars Colin Farrell and Nazneen Contractor.
