The success of Let It Go from the first Frozen film in 2013 has only paved the way for the new power song in Frozen 2.

Frozen 2 is about Elsa voiced by Idina Menzel who hears a calling from beyond the north and travels with her sister Anna (Kristen Bell), snowman Olaf (Josh Gad), Kristoff (Jonathan Groff) and reindeer Sven to uncover the secrets of her powers and the kingdom’s past.

Let It Go, written by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and husband Robert Lopez, was the first Frozen song to take the world by storm.

The song made tidal waves inspiring children to sing like the Broadway star Idina Menzel pretending to take back their lives and inner power, and venture on toward their own ice castles.

Given the high success from Let It Go, it’s understandable that there are high expectations regarding the new power song Into The Unknown in Frozen 2.

Panic at the Disco had released a version of the power song on the American iTunes site, on November 22, 2019 – its chart debut sitting on No. 85.

Today, its highest chart position is No. 21, up 21 places from No. 42.

Idina Menzel and AURORA film version reveals its original song chart debut sitting at No. 87, its highest number position to date sitting at number No. 6.

Let It Go initially changed the direction of the first movie.

The Guardian’s Dorian Lynskey said Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez were originally hired to write the song for an evil queen Elsa but the song was so inspirational that it “forced a rethink” of the character.

The screenwriter and co-director of Frozen Jennifer Lee said that the moment she heard it, the movie had to be rewritten to suit the inspirational song.
