Angelina Jolie’s personal assistant tells of life inside Brangelina’s Queensland visit
THE Brisbane personal assistant to Angelina Jolie has told of life on the inside of the high-security visit.
AS ANGELINA Jolie’s personal assistant and family co-ordinator, young Brisbane film producer Samantha Laidlaw had the inside story of the recent Brangelina visit to Queensland.
Laidlaw was also production assistant on Jolie’s World War II film Unbroken, and signed a confidentiality agreement after being employed to run the Brangelina family holiday agenda.

The 28-year-old, whose short film Won-Bung Lung screened at the annual Flickerfest International Short Film Festival last week, says she is now happy to share some of her insights.
The Brangelina visit was spectacularly secretive.
“It was my task to organise Brad and Angie’s family outings over Christmas and the paparazzi followed us everywhere,” Laidlaw says.
“I was shocked by the intensity of it, but Brad and Ange are used to it.
“They are just normal people who happen to love their privacy.
“Ange is a powerhouse and Brad is an amazing guy.”

Laidlaw accompanied Pitt and Jolie and their six children to theme parks and other locations, although she’s not allowed to say exactly where.
Laidlaw cut her teeth on Australian television shows such as Australia’s Got Talent and Undercover Boss. She also worked on The Railway Man and got to know Colin Firth.
She’s working now as production secretary on the 3D disaster blockbuster San Andreas, which is in pre-production at Village Roadshow Studios on the Gold Coast, and says she can’t wait to meet the star, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, when he arrives in a couple of months.
