THE Modern Family star rocked up to the Emmys in an unusual ensemble that had some praising her adventurousness — and others mocking her.
MODERN Family starlet Sarah Hyland has provided one of the biggest red carpet surprises at the Emmys with an outfit that has left fans and fashion critics divided.
The 25-year-old sitcom star went for party on top, business on the bottom, donning a strapless, embroidered top with twin floor-length trains.
For her bottom half? Black, ankle-length pants.
The look proved instantly divisive, with some praising Hyland for serving a different look to the usual floor-length ball gown attire seen at awards shows. Others just didn’t quite ... get what she was going for:
