It’s here.
After many months of missing the intense weeknight drama of Channel 9’s Married At First Sight, the 2020 premiere aired on Monday night, and while we’re only one episode in, something tells us we’re in for a wild ride.

Watch James Weir, Gretel Killeen and Ben Fordham pick through the wreckage of tonight’s episode.
After equally boozy and enlightening joint hen’s and buck’s parties, it was time for the first couples to meet.
First up was Poppy, who calls her twin toddlers “cock and block” and threatened to leave the experiment before she’s even walked down the aisle to FIFO worker and dad-of-two Luke, breaking down in tears at her reception shortly afterwards.
Luke was, understandably, not thrilled about the situation.
But it wasn’t all doom and gloom, with Cathy and Josh looking like the season’s golden couple early on.
Which, if we’ve learnt from season’s past, could very well spell danger.
Earlier in the episode, one groom seemed to rub viewers the wrong way – placing himself as a possible villain this season.
Michael Goonan, whose parents run a successful ice business in Adelaide, shocked viewers when he said he wished he could turn ‘good looking women on silent’.
The comment came shortly after he’d boasted about his wealth, and his love of “watches, nice cars and shiny toys”.
During a heated discussion with fellow controversial groom Ivan Sarakula, Michael said: “We’ve all been with a good looking girl and listened to her, and been like, ‘Ugh! Turn that thing on silent’, sparking instant outrage from viewers.
