English actress Kate Beckinsale has undergone a near-unrecognisable transformation to attend a party in Los Angeles this week.
Beckinsale, 50, stepped out a private dinner for shoe brand Roger Vivier in LA this week, looking very different with her honey-blonde hair in a wave bob and wearing a stunning red pant suit:
Her new hairdo also got an outing this week when she attended The Hollywood Reporter's annual Women in Entertainment gala in Beverly Hills on December 7:
Fans were loving her new look, flooding her Instagram post with supportive comments.
“Omg! Blond looks so good on you,” wrote one.
“I love your new look, you go girl,” said another.
“Damn that blonde is GREAT,” wrote another fan.
Beckinsale recently spoke out about why she believes the good outweighs the bad when it comes to social media.
It happened in September, after she was on the receiving end of some trolling because she’d posted in support of victims of sexual assault.
“So – those of you who have been following my stories the last couple of days have definitely had a little insight into the fairly constant f***wittery and bullying that I can receive pretty regularly on this app,” Beckinsale began, sharing a clip of herself telling a funny anecdote during a guest appearance on The Tonight Show.
“What I want to say is first of all, I have been overwhelmed by the number of supportive and incredible messages I have received from kind strangers that outnumber and outweigh the a***holes by two million percent,” she wrote.
“The second is this, and the reason I feel social media has the possibility of being such a loving and positive force – a few years ago I went on [The Tonight Show] and told this story about my fake sneeze,” she began.
“I received a [direct message] a week or so later (which sadly got lost) from a woman who said her autistic 7 year old son had been entirely non verbal forever, and then became obsessed with this sneezing clip, kept requesting it over and over, and then suddenly said the first word he has ever said in his life and the word was ‘Achoo.’”
“She and you are why I stay on here and why I feel people are ultimately good and the chance to connect with strangers can be such an incredible gift,” she wrote.
