Jon Hamm’s name is misspelled on his Golden Globe

MAD Men actor Jon Hamm was honoured to receive his first Golden Globe in 2008. Until he looked at the plaque.

MAD Men actor Jon Hamm says the first Golden Globe he ever won came to him with his name misspelled.

More embarrassingly, it was his first name that was misspelled, not the more excusable last name.

FYI: His full name is Jonathan, not John.

“I was like, Oh man. Uh, guys, there’s no H,” he told Vanity Fair.

Receiving the award in 2008, Hamm says he still hasn’t received a replacement plaque to stick on the dud one.

“I haven’t gotten the little plaque to stick on the new one yet, so hopefully they can figure it out, if they’re watching, it’s J.O.N... or Jonathan,” he said.

Hamm also won a Golden Globe this year, again for his portrayal of Don Draper in Mad Men’s final season.
