At first we thought Elle Macpherson had threatened legal action, however it turns out Elle Magazine in the US is responsible for influencer Elle Ferguson abruptly changing her business name.

The entrepreneur quietly changed the name of her The Elle Effect products to the Ele Effect, prompting some to speculate ‘The Body’ had requested Ferguson change the name of her products.

The former The Block contestant took to her website to explain to her customers that, “You may have noticed a change to our branding … however rest assured it's the same flawless tanning mousse, with a fresh update to our name.”

However Saturday Confidential approached Ferguson’s agent for comment yesterday and she informed us it was in fact, “trademarking issues in the US re: Elle Magazine” which prompted the change.

It is believed Ferguson plans to take her popular products global, prompting Elle Magazine to take issue with its name.

Similarly fashion brand Tsubi underwent a name change in 2006 due to a US trademark dispute.

It’s been a tumultuous few weeks for Ferguson, who has been in the firing line after her brief stint on The Block.

The blogger and her partner, former AFL player Joel Patfull prematurely quit the show to be with his mother who had taken a fall.

However Network Nine has used the incident to promote the popular series, claiming the couple quit for trivial reasons including the fact Ferguson didn’t want to wear high vis attire and because the toilet paper was too rough.

The stunning ceremony took place at the Sunstone Winery in Santa Ynez, California, last Saturday with 31-year-old Hyland wearing an off-the-shoulder wedding dress by Vera Wang.

Magree took to social media to document the occasion, sharing multiple snaps alongside the caption: “LOVE. Congrats to my beautiful bestie @sarahhyland and @wellsadams! Wedding of the dam (sic) century.”

The wedding comes one month after Hyland held her hen’s bash on board a luxury boat where Magree can be seen wearing a barely-there one-piece with”BRIDESMAID” branded across the front.

Following two years of cancellation due to Covid, the event sure was back with a bang.

Providing entertainment for the day were former besties Hollie Nasser and Ellie Aitken.

All eyes were on the pair with the two being in the same room at the same time for the first time since their hugely publicised love triangle story broke earlier this year.

The former besties of course had a falling out after it was revealed Nasser began dating Aitken’s husband, Charlie, after the couple had separated.

Guests were also holding their breath to see if popular Sydney designer Terry ‘The Biv’ Biviano would come into contact with former friend Eleni Taylor, who she was rumoured to have had a falling out with in Greece while on board Anthony Bell’s $15 million superyacht.

Saturday Confidential understands there were tears while sailing the Mediterranean after the pals got into a disagreement on mutual friend Anthony Bell’s $15m superyacht. However, Taylor didn’t attend the Barnardos do.

All in all, the prestigious event was a huge success with more than $200,000 being raised in less than two hours, while guests enjoyed a stunning Italian meal by Paola Toppi and her chefs and sipped on wine and champagne from The Bespoke Boys and Moet & Chandon which were key partners in the event.
