The psychological thriller of your dreams – or nightmares, rather – is about to hit screens.
BBC and HBO Max’s hugely buzzed about miniseries The Girl Before arrives on Binge* on February 10, with all four, one-hour episodes dropping at once.
Starring British actors David Oyelowo, Gugu Mbatha-Raw and Jessica Plummer, the series is adapted from the best-selling novel by J.P. Delaney. It follows a woman named Jane (Mbatha-Raw) who wins the opportunity to move into a minimalist London house designed by famed architect Edward Monkford (Oyelowo).
It all seems too good to be true – and usually, that’s because it is.
Jane soon makes a morbid discovery about the luxury home’s predecessor, Emma (Plummer), who she notices looks eerily similar to herself. She begins to dig deeper, uncovering frightening discoveries about the fate of “the girl before”.
Delaney also created, wrote and executive produced the miniseries, alongside fellow executive producers Eleanor Moran, Rory Aitken, Ben Pugh, Ben Irving and Lisa Brühlmann.
