Top Aussie athlete Jess Fox is hungry for more gold.

The 28-year-old is at the top of her sport, having won gold and bronze medals at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games last year.

Her sights are firmly set on Paris in 2024 and the Los Angeles games four years later.

“I was wondering how I would feel post Tokyo, having achieved the gold medal but it has still got me so hungry to keep improving,” Fox told The Daily Telegraph.

“I feel like I haven’t reached my potential yet and I have got more to learn, my technique still has work to go, physically I have potential to grow so that is exciting too.

“The day that I feel like I am too tired to push and to bring my a-game every day, or I don’t feel motivated anymore to fight for that gold medal position, the day I am not hungry for that will be time for me to retire. But I am still excited to be on the start line, still hungry to give my best, to challenge the boys and lift the women’s level as well.”

Fox will frock-up for the annual Women’s Health Women in Sport Awards that will be held at The Venue in Alexandria on Sunday and broadcast live on Fox Sports.

She is nominated for multiple nods, including Standout Moment for her Gold winning achievement at Tokyo and Athlete of the Year. Her competition for Athlete of the Year includes Ash Barty, Ariarne Titmus and Madison de Rozario.

“Personally in my sport, I love the fact that I have got little boys asking me for advice, I’ve got men watching my races to analyse my technique and the next generation of girls are growing up not knowing that we only had one event back when I started out,” she said.

“They have the options to do whatever they want, there is no barrier based on their gender. From that, we will keep growing.”
