Here’s where to grab cheaper tickets for the Royal Adelaide Show 2023

With two more sleeps before this year’s Royal Adelaide Show kicks off, here’s how you can score cheap tickets without breaking the bank.

For those worried about breaking the budget at this year’s Royal Adelaide Show, there’s a cheaper way to get in through the gates and enjoy the rides.

Here’s where and how to score discounted entry tickets and carnival passes before you get to the gates.

GATE PASSES

Foodland and The Royal Adelaide Show

Head to the Royal Adelaide Show website or a participating Foodland store to buy a pre-purchased ticket.

Adults, children and concession card holders will end up saving $10 compared with purchasing tickets at the gate.

Adults can grab a $26 weekday gate pass or a $36 weekend pass, while concession holders, including students, can snatch up a $21 weekday gate pass or $26 weekend pass.

Gate passes for kids aged between five and 14 years old, will cost $16.50 for weekdays and $20.50 for weekends, while children under the age of five can enter for free.

Although a pre-purchased family pass may be dearer, show attendees will pay $17.50 for a weekday pass, or $15 for a weekend gate pass.

Discounted tickets are also available for school groups, community groups, however requests for general groups of more than 20 closed on August 18.

APOD Members

Members of the Australian Defence Force and veterans are also eligible for discounted tickets.

Details are redeemable through the Australian Partners of Defence website.

RAA

RAA also offers its members discounted tickets to the Royal Adelaide Show, however this year’s tickets have already sold out.

SAVE ON SHOW RIDE

CARNIVAL PASS

Purchase 100 ride tokens for $80 or 40 ride tokens for $35. Each token has a face value of $1 and can be redeemed at any ride and most games.

Make sure you swap your carnival pass for ride tokens at the Carnival Pass Exchange, located inside the Kidman Gate. Discount Carnival Passes are available for pre-purchase only.

Foodland, The Royal Adelaide Show, BankSA

BankSA, Foodland and the Royal Adelaide Show are offering carnival passes to help show-goers save about 20 per cent this year.

Attendees save $5 when buying the pre-purchased $35 pass valued at $40, or the $80 carnival pass valued at $100.

Rides

Thrill seekers can uses their discounted carnival passes on rides – mostly suited for adults and teenagers – situated at the main carnival.

The popular Ali Baba ride is back again this year for $15 a ride, or showgoers can bump and ride at the Supercar Dogem Cars for $15 per car.

Those who want to stay off the ground can hop on the Sky Flyer for $12.50, or the Skymaster Wheel offered at $10 per ride or $37 for a family of four.

Discounted carnival passes can also be used on age appropriate rides at the Kid Carnival section, for little kiddies who want to the full Royal Adelaide Show experience.

Waverider offers tickets for $10 or 2 for $18, while The Enchanted Circus also offers $10 tickets per ride.

Adventurous kids can hop on and slide down the giant inflatable Jumbo Jungle Slide for $8, or spin around in the Mini Ferris Wheel for $8 or grab 5 rides for $35.
