Harper Stefanovic stars in Camilla and Marc ovarian cancer campaign

She’s less than a year old but little Harper Stefanovic has already shot her first fashion campaign.

Australia's brekky TV secrets revealed

AT less than a year old, Harper Stefanovic has already shot her first fashion campaign.

The 11-month-old daughter of Karl and Jasmine Stefanovic has joined her prominent parents in a shoot to support designer Camilla and Marc’s ovarian cancer initiative.

“As a father and husband, I want to do everything I can to make sure the women in my life are protected and advocated for,” TV host Karl Stefanovic told The Daily Telegraph.

“It’s an issue that affects all of us, in some way, and it is so important for men to support and seek out information, to empower themselves and the women in their lives.

“Working together, we can all make a huge difference in the lives of our sisters, mothers, daughters, and for generations to come.”

The Stefanovic’s joined the campaign to support Camilla and Marc duo Camilla Freeman-Topper and Marc Freeman, who lost their mum to ovarian cancer 27 years ago when they were aged just 11 and 13 respectively.

It is a passion project for the siblings, who have created a unisex range of T-shirt and hoodies to raise funds for research and awareness through the Ovarian Cancer Research Group.

Going into their second year of fundraising, the pair have already raised $225,000.

The most common cancers in Australia and the symptoms to look out for

“When Camilla and Marc shared their very personal story with us last year, we felt compelled to join the campaign and help in any way possible,” shoe designer Jasmine Stefanovic said. “I’ve come to learn how truly devastating this disease is, how hard it is to detect, and the huge need for funding further research. It’s silently killing one woman every eight hours in Australia, that’s a staggering statistic. Now is the time to shed light on ovarian cancer and together, end this disease.”

Other celebrities involved in the campaign include Rose Byrne, Isla Fisher, Jessica Mauboy, Buddy and Jesinta Franklin.

“There is still no early diagnosis test for Ovarian Cancer almost 30 years after my mother’s death, largely due to a lack of awareness and funding which is just so hard to believe,” Freeman-Topper said.

“Ovarian Cancer is the deadliest female cancer and is in dire need of attention. Over 300,000 women worldwide die annually from the disease, often because of a late diagnosis and that’s simply not good enough. It’s so difficult because we all want to be preventive and get checked but there’s currently no way to do this.

We are proud of what we have achieved to date, but there is much work to be done. In honour of our mother and all of those affected by this disease for 2021 we will launch a bold unisex campaign to get both women and men talking. If we can detect this disease early, it will be a game changer for women’s health.”
