It’s a far cry from the halls of Henley High, but former student-turned model Gieorgia Kettle has bared all on the cover of Playboy Magazine’s latest edition.
Ms Kettle, 26, moved to the Gold Coast in 2019 after growing up in Adelaide’s western suburbs, attending Henley Beach Primary School and Henley High School before dropping out in year 10.
While she had done “a little bit of modelling here and there”, it was her time in the sunshine state that led her to the cover of the world’s most iconic centrefold magazine.
“It’s all about who you know,” Ms Kettle said.
“Honestly, when I moved to the Gold Coast I had the pleasure of meeting some pretty amazing people who were able to give me this opportunity.”
The Playboy cover was shot at world-famous surfing beach Snapper Rocks, in Coolangatta, QLD, by photographer Rocky Batchelor.
Ms Kettle said the lead-up to the big moment was “nerve racking and stressful”, but she was overjoyed with the result.
“It felt amazing and absolutely a big moment,” she said.
“Coming from a little ol’ Adelaide girl to moving to the Gold Coast and landing Playboy was incredible.”
Since its first edition in 1953, Playboy magazine has featured some of the world’s most high-profile models with an undeniable social and cultural profile.
Australian readers were able to get their hands on a homegrown version from February 1979, with model-actor Rosemary Paul posing in cricket gear on the first cover.
Other Australians to feature on the cover have included singer Dannii Minogue, Neighbours actor Emma Harrison, singers Nicky Love, Fiona Ruttelle and Fiona Horne, surfer Wendy Botha and actors Abigail, Lynda Stoner, Melissa Tkautz, Gabrielle Richens and Kym Wilson.
The 26-year-old said Playboy was her biggest modelling achievement so far and hoped the experience would open the door to more opportunities in the future.
