Crows dual premiership captain and radio presenter Mark Bickley will depart FIVEaa at the end of the year.

The drivetime sports show host has been told his contract will not be renewed for 2021 as the impact of COVID-19 continues to hit the media industry.

It’s believed Bickley’s sports show co-presenter Stephen Rowe will be staying on with the station.

There are rumours Nine sports presenter and FIVEaa footy expert Warren Tredrea is in line to fill the hot seat but The Advertiser understands the former Power captain is committed to Nine News and Bickley will not be replaced.

While he won’t be working full-time at FIVEaa, Bickley - who will remain on air until the end of the year - may still be retained part-time as an AFL match-day commentator and footy expert.

The news comes just days after FIVEaa sports show anchor and popular Adelaide MC Jarrod Walsh revealed he was made redundant by the station, effective immediately.

Their departures are among several redundancies around the network in recent weeks following the COVID-19 pandemic.

Bickley started at the station in 2015, after a decorated on-field career with Crows including 272 matches and two flags, before retiring after the 2003 season.

He later returned to the club as an assistant coach in 2008.
