Fitzy reveals he tricked his kids into thinking he’d eaten their dog’s testicles

Fitzy incited shrieks of terror and priceless facial expressions from his kids after a hilarious prank involving dog testicles and a couple of lychees.

Ryan ‘Fitzy’ Fitzgerald may have just pulled off the greatest parent prank of the century.

The Nova radio personality today revealed the cruel yet hilarious practical joke he played on his kids Hewston, 11, and Lennox, 7, after the family dog was desexed, having successfully convinced them he had eaten their dog’s testicles.

In a video shared to the Fitzy & Wippa Instagram page, the 43-year-old former AFL star explained that he had a “light globe moment” when his kids were quizzing him about the procedure.

“Tough day for a dog yesterday,” he began in the clip.

“Beastie got desexed, they had to take his assets out, he’s been a bit sore, he’s been trying to lick that area so unfortunately we’ve had to put a G-string on him … but before he got home the boys have been asking a few questions, saying, ‘Do they actually cut his balls out?’

“I said, ‘Yeah unfortunately they do’ … bit of a light globe moment for Fitzy because I said ‘Well, you get to keep them afterwards,’” he said.

Holding up a specimen container, the comedian went on: “So when the boys were about to come home from school, when we bring Beastie home, we’ll be bringing home a couple of these as well which happened to be lychees, a beautiful fruit that you can eat. So let’s see how the boys react when I take a bite out of one of them.”

Cutting to the footage of his sons (including his youngest Lennox cowering on the stairs), Fitzy is heard ushering the kids to “come and have a look” at the lychee dog testicle in his hand.

“You know that they’re protein, they’re good for nutrition,” he tells them, before slowly taking a bite of the fruit.

But that’s not all.

Sharing the story on radio this morning, he went on to reveal that he hasn’t actually cleared things up with his kids yet.

After co-host Wippa remarked that he’d “scarred” his kids with the joke, Fitzy responded: “I still haven’t told them yet … You gotta play with their minds for a few days before you reveal it.”

Shocked by the admission, Wippa quipped back: “So they went to bed last night, screaming, thinking my dad just ate my dog’s nuts? What future have I got!”

Fitzy shares his two boys with his wife of 12 years, Belinda or ‘BJ’.

Earlier this year, the former Big Brother contestant told 9Honey of being a dad: “Watching them grow is incredible. You just want them to be respected in the community so when you see them help or impress someone, you know that your parenting finally might be working. Having kids yourself really changes your perspective.”
