Erin Molan says she is dating but “not in a skanky way”.
It has been four months since the popular television and radio personality announced her split from fiance, Sean Ogilvy.
Molan reluctantly opened up about her dating life in an exchange on her 2Day FM breakfast show with co-hosts Dave Hughes and Ed Kavalee.
Pushed by comedian Hughes on whether or not there is romance in her life, he said: “It is fair to say the single life has not been unkind to you?”
To that, Molan responded: “But not in a skanky way. It has been fruitful, let’s just say it has been fruitful.”
A caption shared with media was titled, Is Erin Molan dating someone new?
“No one cares,” she said to Hughes prompting her with suggestions she has a “spring in your step”.
Hughes continued: “You look happy Erin, I believe you’ve met someone”.
Molan, 37, was cautious with her responses.
“There might be. Don’t say stuff you know I wouldn’t want you to say. I have met some people, not in a romantic sense but I may have. I meet people day to day. I meet people at the shops, I met someone down at the carpark this morning in security.
Molan and Ogilvy meanwhile are parents to young daughter, Eliza.
In December, she told Confidential she was looking forward to a quiet Christmas with family.
“I have always loved family more than anything else,” she said.
“But I think this year in particular, going through a family breakdown and having to do that without mum and dad or any family support close by, just reiterated how important it is to be surrounded by people that you love.
“And just for my daughter, to give her a family environment for her first Christmas since Sean and I have separated is really important and trying to give her as much normality as possible.”
