Actors Daniel Macpherson and Zoe Ventoura have separated after five years of marriage

The couple, who wed in a secret ceremony in 2015, are parents to one-year-old son, Austin.

“With the greatest respect for each other, Zoe and I have separated,” Macpherson wrote on Instagram.

“Together, we will continue wholeheartedly to raise our beautiful boy Austin. He is, and will forever be, our greatest priority. We ask for your respect and will be making no further comment.”

Ventoura shared the same message and image of the couple in happier times together on her social media.

The extremely private couple first met on set of TV drama Wild Boys in 2011.

They worked hard to keep their relationship private for the near decade they were together, marrying in secret and not telling anyone they were expecting their child together until months after his birth.

The couple is understood to have spent much of this year apart, with Macpherson based in Europe through COVID filming hit US show Strike Back.

Ventoura has been based in Sydney working on TV soap Home And Away, in which she plays Alex Neilson.
