Cricketer Ben Cutting and Erin Holland reunited after hotel quarantine

With Australian cricketer Ben Cutting flying out two days after his wedding to TV presenter Erin Holland, the pair have finally been reunited.

Cricketer Ben Cutting has been reunited with model and TV presenter wife Erin Holland 113 days after the couple’s lavish wedding.

Cutting finished his mandatory hotel quarantine in Brisbane at the weekend after more than three months abroad, first competing in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) before heading to India, where the IPL was shut down mid-season due to the pandemic.

“It has been a long couple of months,” Cutting said. “Seeing Erin walk down the aisle was the highlight of my life so far so being separated wasn’t easy. It comes with the territory of the job though, travelling so much. That said, the pandemic made things a lot harder and I am just thrilled to be home with my wife.”

Holland and Cutting wed in a glamorous ceremony in Byron Bay on February 13. Cutting flew to Pakistan two days later and the couple have not seen each other face-to-face since.

Cutting was not due home until early July but came home early due to the “fatigue of living in the Covid bubble” with ongoing outbreaks.

He was evacuated to the Maldives along with other Australian cricketers including Dave Warner, Pat Cummins and Steve Smith. When they flew home to Australia, Cutting went on to Dubai, where he intended on competing in the PSL but made the decision to come home as the tournament was delayed.

“I am incredibly excited to have Ben back,” Holland said. “Obviously the pandemic adds another layer to the time we were apart because everything was so uncertain. And my heart goes out to those still suffering abroad, which makes this all the more bitter sweet.”

Cutting is home in Australia for at least a few weeks.

“I need to mentally refresh and recalibrate before I go back to work,” Cutting said. “Being back with Erin and our dog Sicari is just the best.”

The couple were forced to postpone their nuptials twice before finally being able to tie the knot due to the pandemic.

Their star-studded wedding was held at Elements of Byron’s Heart of the Bay with singers Jess Dunbar and Matt Price, of X Factor fame, performing Justin Bieber’s Anyone as Holland walked down the aisle.

Holland wore three different J’Aton couture creations over the two day celebration while the groom was dressed in Alex Goodman Custom.

Among the guests were J’Aton designers Jacob Luppino and Anthony Pittorino, celebrity hair stylists Alex Fuchs and Remington Myer, Kieren and Charlotte Jack, Amber and Jeremy Laidler, and former and current cricket players including Usman Khawaja, Ben Laughlin, Mark Steketee, Billy Stanlake, Ryan Harris, Nathan Hauritz, Joey Dawes and Joe Burns.
