Nova91.9 has pipped Mix102.3 to the post by the narrowest of margins to become Adelaide’s top-rating station in the latest radio ratings survey.

And it’s quite a victory because Mix had enjoyed a massive 27 consecutive wins.

In second at the last survey, Nova gained 0.7 points to finish this survey with 12.0 to become the top-rating station.

Mix fell 0.4 to 11.9, losing to Nova by a mere 0.1.

Gaining 0.3 points to 10.3, FIVEaa is in third spot overall, but has overtaken ABC Adelaide as the top-rating station on the AM band.

While the ABC slipped 0.2 points to 10.0 to take fourth place overall, it’s still winning in the all-important breakfast timeslot.

ABC brekkie presenter Ali Clarke was up 0.7 points to 14.2, followed by FIVEaa’s David Penberthy and Will Goodings whose 0.6 gain secured them second place with 12.7.

Mix’s Mark Soderstrom and Jodi Oddy’s maternity fill-in Jessica Adamson – who was on-air from October 14 – are in third spot with 11.4 despite a 0.5 dip.

With the exit of presenters Dylan Lewis and Hayley Pearson a fortnight ago, Nova finished fourth in the brekkie timeslot with 10.9 up 0.4. Jarrod Walsh is filling in until former Triple J breakfast presenters Liam Stapleton and Ben Harvey start next year.

With a 1.7 gain to 16.4, Nova dominated the drive shift. It includes two syndicated shows hosted by Kate Ritchie, Tim Blackwell and Marty Sheargold and Adelaide-born Ryan “Fitzy” Fitzgerald’s Fitzy & Wippa show with Michael “Wippa” Wipfli.

While Nova was also No. 1 in the weekend timeslot, FIVEaa won evenings and Triple M finished in first place for both morning and afternoon shifts hosted by Emma G and Sean Craig Murphy.
