Despite ongoing rumours of romance with a high profile Hollywood celeb, Extra TV host Renee Bargh confirmed she is single.
The Byron Bay born beauty has been interviewing the biggest stars in the world since relocating to LA in 2010 and the dating scene is tough.
“It’s challenging over there because people don’t go over there to fall in love,” she told Confidential.
“People move there to fulfil a dream so love is just a distraction from that.
“It can also be hard to trust and figure out what’s genuine and what’s not.
“That’s why we love Aussies so much – see what you get, get what you see.”
Bargh was overjoyed to be back on home soil to help Foxtel launch their four new Fox-branded channels at a special event last night.
“The last few years I’ve felt a much stronger pull to come home because my sister had a baby and I miss my family so much,” she said.
“Every time I have a setback I want to pack my bags and leave but I’ve also got an incredible network over there and my job is really fun.
“For the most part it’s great but it’s hard when you come from somewhere so special.”
Bargh got her start on Foxtel’s Channel [V] Australia more than a decade ago and has worked for Extra in the US since 2011.
She said she hadn’t experienced too many red carpet interview disasters, but there was one well-known actor who she – and every reporter in Hollywood – dread coming across.
“There’s definitely been a couple that have been hard but nothign other than it was because they were difficult to interview,” she said.
“There’s one (person) in Hollywood, who I’m not going to name, but everybody knows he’s so tough to interview and he makes it so difficult.
“He’s been around a long time, he’s been in a lot of movies.
“I can’t tell you because I still have to interview him and see him.
“But everyone in Hollywood – anyone in the business in LA will know who I’m talking about.
“He just hates doing interviews and he’ll answer with one word answers and he’ll make you feel like your questions are really stupid even when they’re not.
“He’s old school, he’s been around long enough he just doesn’t care.”
