Mix 102.3 breakfast radio presenter Mark Soderstrom will have a familiar face alongside of him as co-host Jodie Oddy goes on maternity leave for the rest of the year.
Seven news presenter and award-winning journalist Jessica Adamson will join Seven sports presenter Soderstrom on the Mix brekkie show for two months starting on October 14.
For the next two weeks, Soderstrom will host the program alongside Mix daytime announcer Michelle Murphy.
Oddy, 43, caught everyone off guard — including her family — when she revealed she was expecting baby number four live on-air in April.
Only her hubby, Greg, and co-host Mark, knew the good news which surprised her three daughters, Taylor, 18, Payton, 7 and Summer, 6, and her mother Colleen who was on the way to the radio station when Jodie made the announcement.
Soderstrom and Oddy finished third in the brekkie timeslot in last month’s radio ratings survey behind FIVEaa’s David Penberthy and Will Goodings and ABC’s Ali Clarke.
It’s been a tough year for Oddy, who lost her licence for 12 months and was fined $1570 in July after pleading guilty to one count each of driving with excess blood alcohol and driving without due care following a car accident in Middleton on December 9 last year.
Oddy, who’s talked about her battle with depression on-air, said she accepted total responsibility for the incident.
