Retired SANFL player and former topless waiter Seb Guilhaus is one of the stars on the new season of controversial reality show Married At First Sight.
The cast for next year’s season has not been officially released but Confidential understands the ex-Woodville-West Torrens ruckman will feature as one of the grooms who ties the knot with a stranger.
Guilhaus, 31, is understood to have been matched with returning cast member Elizabeth Sobinoff, who was cheated on and fat-shamed by her groom Sam Ball on this year’s series.
The new couple filmed their TV wedding in Sydney in October, and joined the Nine show – which is still in production – as “intruders”.
A self-described “eccentric”, 198cm Guilhaus is an aspiring actor and fitness lover who has also worked as a topless waiter at parties, a pursuit he previously described as “handy income” and “a bit of fun”.
“My teammates think I’m a bit of a fruit loop,” Guilhaus once joked to The Advertiser.
“But if I can summon some laughs for them and be that crazy ingredient for the team that’s OK.”
The 106kg powerhouse has also successfully auditioned for Flinders University’s drama degree, despite having no acting background.
On his now-private Instagram account, Guilhaus describes himself as an “eccentric Pisces, personal trainer/natural fitness model and try-hard comedian”.
Adelaide-based law graduate Stacey Hampton is also expected to be a member of MAFS’ seventh season next year, with the blonde bombshell tipped to be a “breakout star” on the show.
The single mother and business owner was featured in the recently released ‘tunnel of love’ trailer for the upcoming season.
Nine declined to comment when contacted by The Advertiser.
