OSCAR winner Reese Witherspoon is counting down the days until her next Australian visit.
The Hollywood starlet will headline the Simpatico women’s leadership conference in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Auckland in July, brought here by Aussie mother of four Jacqueline Nagle.
“One guess where I’m headed this summer,” Witherspoon wrote to her 6.1 million Instagram followers with a photoshopped image of two koalas sitting on her arms.
“I’m very excited to visit Australia and New Zealand this July. I’ll hopefully be making new friends ... like these guys. Can’t wait.”
Nagle sought Witherspoon’s participation in the conference through the actor’s management, seeking to organise a forum for women to come together to celebrate and share their achievements in life and business.
As well as her career starring in films including Vanity Fair, Just Like Heaven and Walk the Line, Witherspoon will talk about her production company Pacific Standard.
Launched in 2012 with her Australian filmmaking partner Bruna Papandrea, the company, which was responsible for blockbusters Gone Girl and Wild, was established because Witherspoon couldn’t find meaningful roles for women over 30.
Shark Tank’s Naomi Simson is also taking part in the two day conference at Sydney’s Dockside Pavilion.
