The pressure is on reality TV couple Jules Robinson and Cameron Merchant to get their forever home ready before their firstborn arrives.

The couple, who were married in November, are six weeks out from the due date of their first child and settle on their dream home two weeks from now.

They’ve called on The Block renovation couple Mitch Edwards and Mark McKie to help them get the four bedroom, three bathroom, northern beaches house ready.

“Will we get it done before the baby arrives? I actually don’t know,” Robinson told The Daily Telegraph. “I am a bit stressed about it. The house needs a bit of love but we love interior design and decorating.”

Robinson and Merchant have enjoyed the ultimate reality television love story.

Partnered on Married At First Sight just shy of two years ago, they have been inseparable since their first TV date.

Merchant sold his two bedroom Kirribilli apartment earlier this year and they have been looking to buy a family home for several months.

“We have been searching every weekend for months,” Robinson said.

“It is a rollercoaster looking for a home, especially through COVID. We found a house at one point, I pictured it as our forever home with a full vision of our life there and how the nursery would like, then we didn’t get it.

“It can be really disappointing and with the time ticking for the baby, the pressure has been on for sure. Now we’ve got the house, we just need to get in there and make it beautiful.”

The couple have chosen not to find out the gender of their bub, which has limited their renovation choices for the nursery.

“Choosing everything for the nursery has been very neutral,” she said. “I am drawn to girly and florals but that won’t necessarily work if we have a boy.”
