Fashion game changer: Sussan’s latest on-trend range is catering to sizes 6 to 18

HOW sweet is this? One of Australia’s oldest fashion labels has a new approach to dressing women that’s all about being on-trend and size inclusive.

Garments stocked by Sussan, which was founded 80 years ago, are now available in more sizes than ever.

While other mainstream brands specifically cater to or branch out with ranges for petite or plus-size women, Sussan is now truly size inclusive because all of its apparel is available in sizes 6 to 18.

Designed by women, the latest collection includes the linen slip skirts worn by Claudia and Harper from Adelaide agency Finesse Models Australia.

The models, who are wearing a size 16 and size 6, took part in a photo shoot with Adelaide body-image crusader Taryn Brumfitt at the Hilton Adelaide.

Ms Brumfitt, whose Body Image Movement has a global following, said she was pleased to see Sussan offering “an extended size range’.

“Our bodies are diverse and come in a range of shapes, sizes and abilities,” she said.

Ms Brumfitt will be a guest speaker at a Hilton Adelaide charity high tea on November 9. The sold-out event is raising money for her Embrace Kids documentary aimed at promoting healthy body image to children aged eight to 14.

With sweet and savoury items prepared by an in-house patisserie, high tea is also available in the Hilton Adelaide’s Lobby Lounge every Saturday and Sunday from 1pm until 3.30pm.
