Crows champion Eddie Betts said goodbye to Adelaide with a big farewell party at The Moseley Bar and Kitchen on the weekend.

The popular goalsneak was joined by family and friends, plus many of his former Crows teammates for the soiree, which marks the end of his remarkable six-year stint in Adelaide.

Among the guests were several current and former Crows players, including Charlie Cameron, Brodie Smith, Cam Ellis-Yolmen, below with Betts, plus other departing Adelaide stars such as favourites Sam Jacobs and Josh Jenkins.

“Been a pleasure mate!! Plenty of ups and downs, our friendship and families have become so close.

“Your career so far has been a highlight reel but it’s what you have done off field that has made you the number 1 man in town! Lots more good times ahead.”

Young Crows stars such as Chayce Jones, Darcy Fogarty, Tyson Stengle and Myles Poholke were also on hand to see off the All-Australian small forward.

Betts, who turns 33 later this month, was traded back to his former club Carlton at the end of this season after booting 310 goals in 132 matches for the Crows.

Last month after the trade to Carlton was officially completed, Betts paid tribute to his Adelaide fans on social media.

“Can’t put into words how much I would like to thank the @adelaide_fc players and all their partners, coaches that have come and gone,” he wrote.

“The Fans and supporter groups you guys are the real MVP, the way you embraced me into this city and the love you have shown me is phenomenal, see you all next year to have a kick in the pocket.

“The @adelaide_fc will always hold a special place in our family’s hearts and I just wanted to say thank you and good luck for the future.”
