AUSTRALIAN Oscar-winning actor Cate Blanchett has reportedly become the latest Hollywood celebrity to adopt a child into her family.
The Oscar-winning actress has reportedly been collecting her sons from their primary school in Sydney the past few days with an extra child in tow — a newborn baby girl named Vivienne, reports The Australian Women’s Weekly.
Blanchett, on arrival at Sydney International Airport, was photographed talking to US star Chris Rock and Australian Oscar winner Russell Crowe.
Blanchett and her husband, Andrew Upton, already have three children — all boys — Dashiell, 13, Roman, 10 and Ignatius, six.
According to the magazine, Blanchett has been telling friends that she is “besotted” with the new addition to their family.
Blanchett’s representatives have confirmed the parents have adopted a baby girl.
The Hollywood actress is currently touring the globe for her role in fairytale movie, Cinderella.
Among the other celebrities who have adopted children include Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, Deborra-Lee Furness and Hugh Jackman and Madonna.
