Bodyguard Evan Koutavakis takes out AVO against former wife

Evan Koutavakis has been a security guard for stars like Kim Kardashian, Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban but the 45-year-old had to take an AVO out against his former wife after an incident in which she allegedly threw a mobile phone at him.

Bodyguard to the stars Evan Koutavakis has called in security of his own in what has become a messy separation from his wife.

NSW Police have confirmed they have taken an AVO out against Koutavakis’s ex Helen Stilianou after an incident in which she allegedly threw a mobile phone at him on Friday afternoon.

Koutavakis, 45, has been the go-to security guy for big-name stars visiting Sydney for the past decade, with his clients including Usain Bolt, Kim Kardashian, Nicole Kidman and husband Keith Urban, Rosie Huntington-Whitely and Drew Barrymore.

“A 43-year-old woman has been charged with common assault and destroy/damage property, following a domestic-related incident involving a 45-year-old man at a Maroubra home,” a police spokesperson said yesterday.

Stilianou, 43, is listed to appear at Waverley Local Court on Thursday.

Koutavakis, who is director of security firm Unity Resource Group, would not comment when contacted.

Unity Resource Group has worked with the likes of The Rolling Stones, Megan Fox, Good Charlotte and Will.I.Am. and Koutavakis is regularly seen in the background of paparazzi shots for airport pick-ups and at red carpet premieres.
